Pay on pickup
Safety tips
Most deals on Rekid go well. A few simple rules keep you out of trouble.
When you meet
- Meet in daylight, somewhere busy, for example near a big store.
- Check the item before you pay: seams, zippers, wheels, straps.
- For a car seat, ask the year it was made and whether it was ever in an accident.
Paying
- Pay on pickup, once the item is in your hands.
- Do not send money in advance to someone you do not know.
- Rekid never asks for card details and never sends payment links.
Signs of a scam
- The price is far too low for something new or expensive.
- They rush you and want to talk in another app.
- You are asked for a code from a text message, your card details or a payment through a link.
- The seller will not meet, but asks for money for “delivery”.
