Terms of use

1.1. Rekid is a listings platform where parents in the Republic of Moldova sell, buy, give away or swap children's clothes and things.

1.2. In these terms, "Rekid" and "we" mean the operator of the Rekid platform. "You" and "user" mean anyone who uses Rekid.

1.3. Rekid is free. We take no commission and there are no payments through the platform: the buyer and the seller agree between themselves in the chat and hand the item over in person or by courier or post.

1.4. Rekid does not sell or buy anything and is not a party to the agreements between users. We provide the place where they meet: the listings, the search, the chat and the notifications.

2.1. Anyone can view listings, search and use the filters without an account.

2.2. To publish listings, send messages, leave reviews and make reports you need an account. Only a person aged 18 or over can create an account.

2.3. Rekid is made for families selling their own children's things. If you sell as a business or as a trade, say so in the listing and meet the legal obligations of traders, including consumer protection.

3.1. Without an account you can choose the language and your location, add your children, interests and favorites, turn on push notifications and start a listing. This data is saved on your device, linked to an anonymous identifier, and can be lost if you clear your browser data.

3.2. When you create an account, the data saved without an account moves into it automatically. When you sign in to an account you already have, the data is combined: favorites and interests are added, and children with the same date of birth and first name are not duplicated.

3.3. You sign in with a code sent by email, with Google, with Apple (when available) or with Telegram. You can link several methods to the same account. Please do not create several accounts.

3.4. You are responsible for everything done from your account. Keep access to the email, Google, Apple or Telegram account you sign in with safe. If you notice that someone else has signed in to your account, write to us right away.

3.5. Use your real name or a name you usually go by. Do not pretend to be another person or Rekid.

3.6. You can confirm your phone number with a code sent by SMS or through Telegram and get the "Phone verified" badge. The number is not shown to anyone. If abuse appears, we may require a confirmed phone number before a listing can be published.

4.1. A listing can be for a single item or a bundle (several items at one total price). You can mark an item as "Free" or accept a swap. For free items, you choose who gets them.

4.2. Publish only things that belong to you or that you have the right to sell, that exist and are available. The listing must be accurate: real photos of the item, not taken from the internet, the right size or age, the real condition and the price in lei. For the "With defects" condition, a description of the defect is required.

4.3. Photos must not show the faces of children or other people, or personal data (documents, addresses, car number plates). We remove location data (GPS) and other hidden information from every photo.

4.4. Do not put links, phone numbers or other contact details in a listing. Buyers write to you in the chat, where you can send your phone number or address only to whom you choose.

4.5. Publish each item only once and choose the right category.

4.6. A listing is active for 30 days. Three days before the end we ask whether it is still available, and you can extend it with one tap; otherwise it expires and no longer appears in search, and you can reactivate it from "My listings".

4.7. You can reserve a listing for a buyer for up to 3 days. If you do not mark it as sold by then, the listing becomes active again automatically, and you are told beforehand.

4.8. When you sell, mark the listing as sold and choose the buyer from your conversations or "outside the platform". A sold listing no longer appears in search, but stays on your profile marked "Sold".

4.9. The content of your listings stays yours. By publishing it, you allow us, free of charge and for as long as the listing is on Rekid, to show, copy and adapt it (for example, to make the photos smaller) on Rekid, in the Rekid channels in Telegram, in the previews of shared links, in search engines and in their shopping services, so that it reaches as many buyers as possible. Telegram channels and search results show the listing without your name.

5.1. The list of items prohibited on Rekid is shown at the end of this page and is part of these terms. Some items are prohibited for reasons of hygiene or children's safety: for example, used pacifiers, bottle teats and breast pumps cannot be sold, but new ones in their original sealed packaging can.

5.2. Car seats can be sold only with their year of manufacture and your confirmation that the seat has never been in an accident.

5.3. Whatever the list says, the following cannot be sold: things whose sale is forbidden by law, stolen or illegally obtained goods, counterfeit products (copies of brands), and products that are dangerous or damaged in a way that could hurt a child.

5.4. Listings with prohibited items are rejected or removed from Rekid, and repeating it can lead to the sanctions in section 8.

6.1. In the chat you can send messages and photos and, if you want, the phone number and address from your profile. Messages are private between the two participants. Moderators can read a conversation only if it has been reported.

6.2. Rekid never asks for payments, card details or codes received by SMS. Do not send anyone your card details or the codes you receive, and do not pay through links received in the chat. We recommend paying on collection, after you have seen the item, not in advance. When a message contains a link or words such as "card details", "prepayment" or "payment link", we show a warning.

6.3. New accounts can send a limited number of messages per day, to stop mass messaging.

6.4. Insulting or threatening messages, advertising, mass messages and attempts to sell prohibited items are not allowed in the chat. You can block a user at any time: after that you can no longer write to each other.

6.5. The price, the handover, the payment and any return are agreed only between the buyer and the seller. Rekid does not check items before they are sold and does not guarantee their quality, safety or legality, or the accuracy of listings. Check the item when you receive it.

7.1. Any user with an account can leave one review on another user's profile: a rating from 1 to 5 and, if they want, a text. The review can be changed or deleted. The profile owner can dispute it; the review stays visible until a moderator decides.

7.2. A product review can be left only by the buyer the seller chose when marking the listing as sold. The review becomes public after the seller approves it.

7.3. Reviews must be honest and describe a real experience. Insults, personal data, advertising, reviews written for yourself from another account, and reviews bought or given in exchange for a benefit are not allowed. We can remove reviews that break these rules.

8.1. When published, every listing goes through an automatic check: prohibited words, links and phone numbers in the text, and unsuitable content in the photos. A flagged listing is not public until a moderator checks it. The first 3 listings of a new account are published immediately, but a moderator checks them with priority.

8.2. You can report a listing, a profile, a conversation or a review, with one of these reasons: prohibited item, fraud, false information, abusive behavior or something else. The reported user does not find out who reported them. Please do not make false reports.

8.3. A moderator can approve a listing, reject it with a reason (you can fix it and publish it again) or remove it from Rekid.

8.4. For breaking these terms, sanctions are gradual: a warning, a temporary ban (of up to 90 days) and a permanent ban. For serious breaches, such as fraud, threats or selling dangerous products, we can ban an account straight away. With a banned account you can sign in and see your data, but you cannot publish, send messages, leave reviews or make reports.

8.5. If you disagree with a decision, write to us at suport@rekid.md, with your account's email address and your reason. A person from the Rekid team will look at it again.

8.6. If an authority asks us for data under the law, or if we suspect a crime, we may keep and hand over the data needed, as described in the privacy policy.

9.1. We can tell you about new messages, new listings for your children and interests, price drops on your favorites and news about your own listings, through Telegram, through push notifications in the browser and by email. You can turn off each type of notification on each channel in "Profile" → "Notifications". Matching new listings and price drops are sent grouped, at most twice a day, and never between 22:00 and 08:00.

9.2. You get the sign-in code by email every time you ask for it. Important messages about your account, such as its deletion or a warning from a moderator, cannot be turned off in the settings.

9.3. The Rekid channels in Telegram, by category and age, automatically publish new active listings: the cover photo, the title, the size or age, the price, the location and a link to the listing. When the listing is sold, the post is marked "SOLD".

On Rekid you may not:

• deceive other users or ask for payment in advance with no intention of delivering;
• collect other users' data or contact them outside Rekid for advertising;
• create new accounts to get around a sanction;
• get around the automatic checks, for example by writing a phone number in words;
• copy listings in bulk or use bots without our permission; search engines and AI assistants may read the public pages under the rules in robots.txt;
• try to break into, overload or disrupt the platform.

The Rekid name, logo, design and software belong to the operator of Rekid and may not be copied without our permission. You confirm that you have the right to publish the photos and texts in your listings and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights.

12.1. We do everything we can for Rekid to work well and safely, but the platform may have interruptions or errors, and some features may change.

12.2. To the extent the law allows, Rekid is not liable for items sold through the platform, for agreements between users or for damage caused by other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

12.3. You are responsible for the listings, messages and reviews you publish and for obeying the law when you sell or buy.

13.1. You can delete your account at any time, from "Profile" → "Account" → "Delete account". What happens to your data is explained in the "Account deletion" document.

13.2. We can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, following the rules in section 8.

We may change these terms when the platform or the law changes. The new version is published on this page, with its number and date. We tell you about important changes before they apply, on the website or by email. If you do not agree with the new version, you can stop using Rekid and delete your account.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. We try to settle any disagreement amicably; if we cannot, it is settled by the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova.
