Size guide

For kids' clothes, the size is the child's height in centimeters. The age in the chart is only a guide: your child's height is what counts.

Frequently asked questions

What size does a child aged 1 year wear?

Usually size 86: it fits children aged 12–18 months, up to 86 cm tall. If your child is tall for their age, take size 92.

What size does a newborn wear?

Size 50, for babies aged 0–1 month. Babies outgrow it fast: buy a few things in 50 and some in 56.

What if my child is between two sizes?

Take the bigger one. Children grow fast, and clothes that are a little big last longer. Your child's height matters more than their age.

How do I find my child's shoe size?

Measure the foot from the heel to the longest toe and leave a little room at the front. The age is only a guide: at 1 year, children usually wear EU 20–22.

What does the number on kids' clothing labels mean?

For kids' clothes, the European size is the child's height in centimeters. A size 86 item fits a child up to 86 cm tall.
